For the duration of the Saint-Etienne Biennale Le Musée des Manufactures de Dentelles will present ‘Contours Around The Void’, an exhibition focusing on the use of lace in contemporary design.  

Featuring works by a number of prominent designers, including Marcel Wanders, Philippe Starck, Tord Boontje, Konstantin Grcic and Patricia Urquiola, the exhibition takes an in-depth look at furniture and objects which use cuts, empty spaces, downstrokes, shadow and light and interlace as integral elements in their design.
